A familiar voice, reading their book.
Pick the reading material, choose the voice, and hand over an audiobook the listener can open anywhere. A parent makes one for a child, a grandparent records for the grandkids, and older kids make their own — the roles are yours to assign. It is a recording project, not a replacement for anyone: the app turns words into audio, and the family keeps the reading ritual.
How a family project goes
- Bring the words. Paste text or drop in a file — TXT, MD, EPUB, PDF, DOCX, SRT, VTT, or HTML — one chapter is plenty for a first try. Scanned PDFs need a text layer. See the full workflow on how it works.
- Choose who reads. Use one of the 63 built-in voices (54 Kokoro presets + 9 Qwen voices), or clone your own voice locally from a short, clean recording. Script Mode lets you cast a different voice per character.
- Hand it over. Export a follow-along HTML page (words light up as they play), an audio file for any player, or a video for the big screen — or send it straight to Email, Telegram, or Discord.
What the listener gets
