A helper for getting through text
Think of Elmren Voice as text to speech for dyslexia-friendly reading practice, done privately. You bring the reading material — a school assignment, a chapter book, anything you have as text — and the app turns it into a follow-along page or an audio file. The child controls the session: pause, replay a line, or just listen.
It is one aid among many, and it is honest about that. What it can do is make the words available in a second channel — eyes and ears together — on an ordinary evening, with no account and no internet connection in the loop.
How a session goes

- Pick a voice. 63 built-in voices (54 Kokoro presets + 9 Qwen voices), zero-download macOS system voices, or your own voice cloned locally from a short recording.
- Press play and follow. Open the follow-along page on the desktop — every word highlights as it is spoken, karaoke-style — or send the audio to a phone for listening on the go.
Practice, not testing
