Your work never leaves this Mac.

Elmren Voice is a local app. Your text, your recordings, your cloned voices, and everything it generates live in a data folder on your Mac — not in an account, not on our servers. We have no way to listen to them, because they are never sent to us.

What stays on this Mac

• ✓Imported text and book structure, generated speech, and exported files.
• ✓Voice recordings and cloned voices — a family voice is reusable across projects and never uploaded.
• ✓Your license key, stored in the macOS Keychain. Activation sends the key itself to Paddle — once, over an encrypted connection, so it can be verified. Your text, recordings, and audio never go anywhere.

When the network is used

Three cases, and only these three. First, the one-time engine + voice pack download on first launch (from ~700MB up to a few GB with all voice packs). Second, Paddle license activation and verification — a thirty-day offline grace period applies, so you only need a connection again once it expires. Third, files you actively choose to send to Email, Telegram, or Discord. Everything else — including the trial (120 synthesis minutes within 7 days of first run) and day-to-day generation — works offline. If you unplug the internet, the studio keeps working; it verifies the license when a connection is available.

There is no account to create, no advertising SDK, and no third-party analytics inside the app.

Telemetry: off, until you say on

On first launch the app asks once whether you want to share anonymous usage statistics. The default answer is no. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & telemetry. Saying no changes nothing about the app — no features are gated behind it.

What recipients receive

Exported audio, follow-along HTML, and video files are self-contained. They contain no trackers, no callbacks, and no account hooks — a child opening the HTML page sends nothing anywhere. See how it works for what each format carries.

One honest footnote, about this website

This site loads its display fonts from the Google Fonts CDN, which means your browser contacts Google when you read these pages. Site analytics (PostHog) are currently off — the key is empty, so nothing loads. The Mac app itself makes no such requests. We plan to self-host these fonts so the site matches the app's standard.
